Last month I had the privilege of attending the Durango Songwriters Expo in Denver, CO. It is an industry network and education event held yearly, and I liked it so much last year that I went back this year! I met so many talented and quality songwriters, producers, and artists there, and also learned a lot about the business from the industry professionals who gave presentations and sat on panels. One of the events that attendees could participate in were performance showcases held in the evenings. We were required to submit two songs for consideration, and I was lucky enough to get chosen for a spot! You can check out the live performance of my new song “Outta My Head” by clicking on the YouTube link above.

“Where You Are” available now!

My new single and music video are now available on all digital platforms (Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, etc.)! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for engaging with and sharing this new song. It means the world to me, and I’m so glad you are connecting with the good vibes. We just passed 10k views on FB today - I’m on cloud 9! Help keep the ball rollin’ by streaming and playlisting the song on Spotify and checking out the music video on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Y5rMxjeWs0

You all are the best!!

Music video in the werks...

I've teamed up with Rin and Graham Ehlers of Stand Up 8 Productions to bring you a new music video for my latest song Where You Are!  We are hoping to visually capture the message that love is diverse, and it has been such fun to work with real life couples.  We have one more scene to film before we can say, "That's a wrap!"  Check out some snapshots from our different days of filming below...

New Music Coming Soon!

Last month I had the opportunity to record my new song "Where You Are" with Andre de Santana and his team up in North Hollywood.  Dre, Tamir, and Daniel really made this song come to life, and I'm really pleased with the result!  Be on the lookout for the release of the new single soon.  In the meantime, here are a few snapshots from my day with them in the studio!

Panelist at this year's ASCAP I Create Music Expo

I am super excited to be a panelist at this year's ASCAP Expo up in Hollywood!  The ASCAP Expo provides a unique opportunity for songwriters, composers, artists, producers, publishers - and those in the industry that support them - to come together in an unprecedented way to share their knowledge and expertise.  I will be participating in a panel on Friday April 14 at 3:45pm entitled "Production Music All-Stars: Exploring Opportunities in the PM World with the PMA."  Though I would hardly consider myself an "all-star," I'm looking forward to the opportunity to share my experience with how production music has provided unique opportunities for me as a solo artist pursuing their own career.  Here are the details if you are interested in checking out the event: http://sched.co/AFJJ  Hope to see you there!

Michael Tiernan Album Release Show

IMG_0103.JPG

Last weekend I had the privilege of sharing the stage with my good friend Michael Tiernan for a handful of songs at his sold out release show for his new EP 'Love and a Gun.' It was a great show with some great new songs - definitely check out MT's new album (available on iTunes and Spotify)! Also, if you haven't been to Brick 15 in Del Mar yet, you must go. It is a coffeehouse by day and a listening room by night with some GREAT nationally touring acts coming through. The owners Liam and Laura are transplants from Club Passim in Boston, and are creating a similar community of music here in San Diego. Go experience a show in this great new venue!

International Acoustic Music Awards Finalist

Hi friends!  I just found out that I am a finalist in the IAMA for Best Female Artist with my song Shine off the new EP!  Every couple of months I enter a song contest like this one, and each time it feels a little bit like a long shot.  Most of the time nothing comes of it, but every now and then you see your song on the list!  A few years ago, Meghan Trainor (All About That Bass artist/songwriter) won this very contest before anyone knew who she was, so I feel really honored to be included in the group of finalists!  You can check out the full list of finalists here.
