I am super excited to be a panelist at this year's ASCAP Expo up in Hollywood! The ASCAP Expo provides a unique opportunity for songwriters, composers, artists, producers, publishers - and those in the industry that support them - to come together in an unprecedented way to share their knowledge and expertise. I will be participating in a panel on Friday April 14 at 3:45pm entitled "Production Music All-Stars: Exploring Opportunities in the PM World with the PMA." Though I would hardly consider myself an "all-star," I'm looking forward to the opportunity to share my experience with how production music has provided unique opportunities for me as a solo artist pursuing their own career. Here are the details if you are interested in checking out the event: http://sched.co/AFJJ Hope to see you there!
Last weekend I had the privilege of sharing the stage with my good friend Michael Tiernan for a handful of songs at his sold out release show for his new EP 'Love and a Gun.' It was a great show with some great new songs - definitely check out MT's new album (available on iTunes and Spotify)! Also, if you haven't been to Brick 15 in Del Mar yet, you must go. It is a coffeehouse by day and a listening room by night with some GREAT nationally touring acts coming through. The owners Liam and Laura are transplants from Club Passim in Boston, and are creating a similar community of music here in San Diego. Go experience a show in this great new venue!
Last night my song "When I'm With You" won 2nd place in the San Diego Songwriters Guild annual song contest! I also entered my song "Til the End," which picked up an Honorable Mention. Woo hoo! If you haven't listened to them yet, you can stream both songs here on Spotify
Congrats to all the other winners!
Hi friends! I just found out that I am a finalist in the IAMA for Best Female Artist with my song Shine off the new EP! Every couple of months I enter a song contest like this one, and each time it feels a little bit like a long shot. Most of the time nothing comes of it, but every now and then you see your song on the list! A few years ago, Meghan Trainor (All About That Bass artist/songwriter) won this very contest before anyone knew who she was, so I feel really honored to be included in the group of finalists! You can check out the full list of finalists here.
